We are looking for a brilliant Team Manager to join us in our Finance Operations team at head office in Enderby on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.

In thie role you will have management responsibility for a team of 5 (3 in the UK and 2 in Pune, India) and you will help to lead operational processes for retail stores around stock and banking processes to ensure adherence to Financial controls at all times.Ideally we are looking for someone who has proven experience in leading an operational team in a fast paced and challenging environment and have some experience in Retail Store Stock & Banking Operations. Also, as you will be liaising with so many stakeholders within Finance, the rest of the business and 3rd party suppliers we are looking for someone who also has exceptional communication and relationship management skills so that you can negotiate, influence and build strong relationships.
Any knowledge of payment system technologies, processes and suppliers (e.g. Internal and external payment gateways) will be highly desirable.

About the role:

  • Day to day supervision of Finance Operations support team
  • Management of the 3rd party relationships according to SLA’s, in order to ensure the best possible service to our customers and stakeholders.
  • Maintain/implement operational processes for retail stores around stock and banking processes to ensure adherence to Financial controls at all times.
  • Working with Field team Management to ensure FCA compliance around retail brokerage activities.
  • Key retail event coordination including sale, stocktake and recall.
  • Minimising retail cash loss/risk through effective management of CIT collections and cash losses.
About you:

  • The ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure, whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, coupled with the ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the business.
  • Experience in coaching, influencing and developing people.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Be an independent problem solver that can make high quality judgments and decisions quickly.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • The willingness to learn, improve and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of MS Office (esp. MS Excel) suite of products, Google Gsuite is desirable
  • SQL & Microsoft SSMS is highly desirable but not essential
