Your responsibilities include:
- Close Legal Entity books and records in accordance with local and group accounting policies and timelines and local and group materiality.
- Ensure compliance with US, Swiss, IFRS and local GAAPs and regulatory reporting where applicable; the LEC will draw on the expertise of the Accounting Policy and Assurance Group (APAG) and the Partner Managers as required;
- Conduct first level of challenge and analyze information provided to gain reasonable assurance as to the quality and reliability of the information being acquired as necessary (e.g. ensure data integrity, conduct baseline analytical review, check Key Performance Indicators adequacy; ensure appropriate hands-off, etc.). Further, the LEC needs to understand potential hand-off related issues and ensure relevant functions understand the consequences;
- Work closely with other upstream departments such as Operations, Product Control, Tax, Payroll, and others as applicable and with Regional Partner Managers;
- Place reliance on process owners within FMAR and consider process outputs / Key Performance Indicators /dashboards in order to satisfy themselves with the outcome of the full set of FMAR processes for their entity.
- Understand the significant controls and processes within Control and Reporting that impact the entity and, where control issues are identified, acquire comfort that control improvement plans are put in place. Where control issues in upstream functions come to the attention of the LEC, intensify these to the relevant departments to ensure appropriate remediation plans are established and executed.
- Collaborate effectively with various Group Finance Process Owners and find efficient solutions where problems are identified.
- Understand partners requirements by engaging with them and ensure that the requirements are delivered optimally. Manage expectations through timely communication of any significant issues with Regional Partner Managers.
- Provide SME input into the new business process coordinated by the Finance Change/Group Finance Regional Partner Manager.
- Proactively support Organizational Change initiatives and constantly review processes for efficiencies by challenging status-quo of existing processes/practices.
- Educate staff members of the objective/purpose of the tasks assigned to them. Appropriately monitor staff work so as to ensure that the right tasks are performed within the control framework laid down by the Firm.
- Build a high performance team by constantly coaching, mentoring and developing staff members.
- Provide clear direction to the team on the day to day operations.

- Professional Accountancy Qualification
- Minimum of 6+ Years of post-qualification work experience
