Job Description:

New York City based Private Equity Fund Administration Firm is looking for a business analyst to develop additional process and technology efficiencies to help improve the scalability of a growing business.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with business to document requirements for technology and process development
  • Build Functional Requirements documentation
  • Define Success Criteria and ensure all requirements fulfilled
  • Build User acceptance testing plan and scripts to ensure success criterion are met
  • User guide documentation
  • Project Lead firm wide deployment and conversion to new technology solutions

Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of business experience
  • 2+ years of financial services experience
  • Private Equity experience a plus
  • Familiar with standardized Project Management methodologies (Agile, a plus)
  • Experience leading JAD sessions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Process redesign experience
  • Experience managing projects from beginning to end
  • Bachelor u2019s degree required. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, a plus
  • Experience with data integration a plus
  • Familiarity with development languages a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Ability to learn on-the-job quickly, apply learning to recommend solutions to issues
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes and procedures in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong project management skills
  • Superior problem solving, judgement and decision making skills
  • Ability to think independently, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Extensive Microsoft suite skills - Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook
