We have built strong techno-functional teams which partner with our offices globally taking global ownership of systems and products. We have a vibrant and diverse mix of teams working on different technologies and functional areas. There is a large focus on innovation, inclusion, giving back to the community and sharing knowledge.

We are looking for a 2+ years experienced tester to work closely with a test manager within the same location and be actively involved in two main General Ledger focused testing activities, each with different functional leads:

  • involvement in the rollout of regular Controllers workbench (CWB) enhancements and bug fixes (CWB is an internal reporting tool); and
  • other General Ledger testing responsibilities in support of business as usual activities e.g. Entity Opening co-ordination and reconciliation, testing/ supporting Filegate GL journal entry changes and intraday co-ordination

The candidate needs to be able to work with geographically dispersed groups and be comfortable managing and balancing their workload across the distinct workstreams. In addition, they should be able to partner effectively with both IT and Finance in a very dynamic, rapidly evolving and high pressure, high visibility project setting. The candidate is expected to plan, prepare and test CWB changes ahead of regular releases, tests include functional new enhancements/ bug fixes and regression testing existing scripts to ensure existing working functionality is not impacted by the introduction of new code. Similar co-ordination, planning, and testing activities are required for other, non CWB related, General Ledger functions. The tester is expected to work as part of a team of 6 including the test manager to achieve this.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following key skills & competencies:

  • Experience of 2+ years working in an agile development environment with strong testing background:
    • Passionate about QA/ testing and able to structure testing in an optimal manner
    • Hands-on experience of end to end testing, preferably front-end applications with an awareness of back-end processes (e.g. Query service, database)
    • Experience of test management tools (ALM, JIRA) and an awareness of test automation
    • Experience in driving process improvements and efficiencies for reduced time-to-market
    • Should own the quality and timeliness of delivery and not be afraid to challenge status quo

    • Ability to document testing evidence in a clear and concise manner
    • Ability to communicate key issues and progress updates in a regular, accurate, timely fashion
  • Very good communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Strong co-ordination (across functional groups ? stakeholders, IT, SMEs) and organization skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel and formulas
  • Solid data analysis and problem solving skills
