Robert Walters are delighted to have been chosen as the exclusive recruitment partner by a leading business based in Basingstoke who are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join them on a long term contract basis (circa 18 months).
This would be an excellent opportunity for an individual who is studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) to join this household name for a minimum of 18 months as they look to solidify accounting processes and procedures following a merger.
Working as part of the wider Financial Reporting Team, As a Financial Accountant, you will provide first class support to the organisation as well as getting involved in the contribution of some adhoc project work during the period of the contract.
Key Responsibilities for this Financial Accountant role include:
- Preparing various revenue related journal entries on a monthly basis across multiple legal entities
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations of several accounts, most notably AR debtors and deferred revenues
- Performing reconciliations of source data where there are other business systems interfacing into SAP
- Extracting revenue reports from third party systems to feed into our accounting working files
- Assisting more senior team members with calculating and preparing suitable revenue accruals which are in line with professional accounting standards and with internal accounting guidelines.
- Contribute to the year end audit work as required.
- Contribute to adhoc projects as required.
Key Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Ideallly degree education and studying towards a recognised accounting qualification such as AAT, CIMA or ACCA
- Must have good relevant experience working within a Finance function
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the aptitude to handle large data sets
- Ideally have experience of using SAP
- Would suit a someone with an interest in problem solving. Someone who is prepared to take a proactive approach to finding solutions.
