Due to continued growth, we are looking for a talented Head of Internal Audit to join the Legal team based in our growing APAC team.

You will be responsible for providing Novotech with guidance on financial and non-financial internal controls. The Head of Internal Audit will be responsible for leading, supervising, and performing specific audit assignments across all Novotech business units including detailed internal audit planning, risk assessment and test of design and operating effectiveness of controls. The role would involve examining and improving the operating practices and financial and non-financial risk management processes of Novotech.


  • Establishing an internal audit function including developing an annual internal audit plan which addresses the significant financial and non-financial controls to be tested across the organisation
  • Report directly to the Board Audit Committee and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer on internal audit matters
  • Implementing audits identified from the annual internal audit plan including timeframes and resources and managing such audits.
  • Oversee risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes.
  • Identify and assess areas of significant business risk or lack of controls and work with appropriate business units to remediate issues.
  • Ability to attest as to the adequacy of design and effectiveness of controls that mitigate risks.
  • Identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
  • Implement best audit and business practices in line with applicable internal audit statements.
  • Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice.
  • Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting/Audit.
  • Prior experience in managing internal audit
  • Strong hold on excel and Power Point (MS).
  • Candidate must be a pro-active self-starter with a dynamic and resilient nature working in a fast- paced, challenging environment.
  • Experience in healthcare or professional services highly regarded.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must have analytical and problem solving skills and a risk-based practical approach to drive solution-oriented outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Extremely well organized and detailed oriented with demonstrated follow-up skills.
  • Strong financial aptitude.
  • Proficient in PC applications to include: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
