About the Department

The Audit function is an independent internal audit team that provides objective assurance and consulting to improve and add value to the Group's operations. We help the Group achieve its strategic objectives by adopting a systematic and disciplined approach towards evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Job Responsibilities

This role requires initiatives to identify and pursue tasks to achieve the overall objectives. The role requires much creativity and analytical capability to apply analytic use case to certain business segment from different stakeholders. The candidate is required to be able to organize and analyze large datasets to get actionable insights. This may include finding innovative ways to manage the data that do not naturally mesh from all kinds of different sources, or from web APIs, to internal databases encoded in SQL. Experience in using programming tools (e.g. SQL, R, ACL, Python, SAS, JSON), statistical software, data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense) and preferred someone that already familiar with HADOOP platform.

He/she will be responsible for the following:
  • Plan and perform Risk Profiling of assigned entities and all aspects of assessments in accordance with Group Audit standards, regulatory requirements and statutes, and best practices and maximizing the use of data analytics.
  • Automate audit processes and develop continuous auditing process via establishment of audit dashboard.
  • Identify emerging risks and industry issues, and assess the implications for the audit entity. In specific related to digital banking trend, big data technology and social media use.
  • Apply technology and data analytics to improve audit work processes and quality, such as the usage of Machine Learning technology.


Job Requirements

  • Possess a recognized degree or equivalent professional qualifications/credentials with solid 3 or more years of relevant audit/ business/ risk experience and quantitative data analysis to solve problem and able to accommodate a manageable amount of travel.
  • Related qualification and certifications (such as CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA) are a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with strong interpersonal skills for all levels of internal and external audit and management
  • Able to organize and analyze large datasets and good in performing exploratory data analysis for actionable insights.
  • Able to automate audit processes and create meaningful data visualizations to create business impact.
  • Able to apply various machine learning techniques (Random Forest, Least Mean Square, Support Vector Machine, Natural Language Processing, etc) and data mining for processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for data analytics
  • Expert in SQL and other programming languages (e.g. R, Python, ACL, SAS, JSON), statistical software and data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense) with experience/ familiarity in working under HADOOP platform
  • Able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and cope with change and diversity in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to successfully coordinate and work well among team members and inspire others to take initiative and use intuitive thinking.
  • Collaborative and customer oriented while resourceful and results driven
  • He/she should be equipped with the following domain knowledge:
  • Background related to banking business/ financial institution aspect
  • Strong Business acumen in Digital Banking and Fintech business preferable
  • Database infrastructure development and maintenance
  • Process automation, RPA preferable
  • Machine learning, data transformation and visualization techniques
