The centre provides financial controllership in the region for two of the Thermo Fisher Scientific groups - Life Sciences Solutions and Special Diagnostics. We are responsible for a large number of entities reporting a total of $2 Billion of revenue per year. This role will be responsible for our SDG business for Italy.

What will you do?
- Ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of monthly close activities
- Evaluating entries for completeness and accuracy
- Reviewing general ledger activity, researching and correcting account discrepancies
- Performing balance sheet account reconciliations, including general ledger accounts and sub ledger accounts
- Researching and resolve any reconciling items on a monthly basis
- Performing variance analysis including current-to-prior month/quarter/year fluctuations
- Management reporting to Corporate through Hyperion
- Supporting the preparation of Statutory Accounts where required
- Preparing and submitting of government and other agency returns, including but not limited to Tax returns Brief Description 2-3 sentences
Who we are looking for:
- Experience of month end reporting, statutory accounts, management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations & VAT returns
- Previous experience in a large scale organisation would be beneficial
- Highly motivated and detail oriented individual with excellent communication, computer and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and follow through in a fast-paced, multitask environment
