Job Description
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT -JOB SPEC An experienced Accounts assistant is urgently required as an integral part of a small finance team, within a group of companies, to provideaccounting and administrative support, to a group of fast-growing wholesale and online businesses. You will need to possess strong bookkeeping skills up to trial balance and have a strong, evidenced working knowledge of both the accounts payables and accounts receivables functions. Strong communication skills are a must as well as a focused and attention to detail mindset. You must be able to manage your daily workload and be flexible during what can be very busy periods. You must also be a good teamworker. You will work directly under the Financial Controller who reports to the Company Directors.
Main Job Responsibilities: ·
Monthly reconciliations- Sales, Purchase, Banks ·
Sales and Purchase ledgersinvoicing and journals ·
Controlling credit and chasing debt ·
Analysing information from spreadsheets and external sites ·
Contacting and resolving customer & supplier related queries Personal Qualities: ·
A strong eye for detail ·
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills-(Pivot/VLookups etc) ·
Work well under pressure ·
Able to work on your own initiative ·
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . A flexible attitude to meet deadlines as required Acceptable Qualifications: ·
Qualified by Experience minimum 7 years ·
Part qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA -with minimum of 5 years experience ·
Fully qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA-with minimum of 5 years experience ·
At least 5 years experience of both Sales and Purchase Ledger control Software skills: ·
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets-essential ·
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages-essential ·
Sage/Xero/Quickbooks
