The UK Group operates from over 200 selling locations with a central finance and administration function based in Bradford.

THE POSITION

Due to internal progression and continued growth, we are looking for a business analyst to support the commercial and pricing analysts. As the business analyst you will report to the commercial analyst.

This is a new role so there will be the opportunity for the ideal candidate to tailor it to their individual skill set. If your experience is in data analysis, commercial analysis, pricing analysis, report writing, management information, database administration (or equivalent) we would love to hear from you.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Maintaining and developing the Commercial Analysis SQL-Server database


  • Maintaining and developing the Commercial Analysis SSRS reporting solution


  • Creating and maintaining a system for collecting and managing product cross-referencing data


  • Manging and improving database process and reports to support pricing analysis


  • Manage key account transactional and rebate reporting


  • Work with department heads to design and develop operational reporting solutions. Departments will include sales, purchasing, IT, finance, operations, and key accounts, but could include any department where your skills can bring value


Required skills:

  • T-SQL including (tables, views, agent jobs, stored procedures & functions)


  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS authoring and distribution of reports using either Report Builder or Visual Studio)


  • Advanced Excel including familiarity with VBA and Power Pivot data models


  • An attention to detail and a pride in your work and output


  • A tenacious attitude to problem-solving


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and business acumen


  • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of building strong relationships with peers and stakeholders


Desirable skills & experience:

  • Experience of working within the motor industry


  • 2 years in a data analyst, commercial analyst, pricing analyst, report writing, management information, database administration (or equivalent)


  • Experience of extracting and manipulating data from an SQL Server based ERP system


  • Understanding of statistical methods such as regression analysis
