The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Financial Accountant that will
oversee majority of the finance and accounting functions and report directly to the Director. A
key position that will influence decision-making and drive improvements.
Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Director, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring
accurate and timely reporting for the organisation. A large part of the day-to-day responsibility
is to accurately maintain the general ledger, financial asset registers, management of all
banking functions, monitor all pillar expenditure, ensuring accurate preparation of BAS, FBT
and Payroll Tax, banking loan tracking & repayments reconciliation.
In addition, the Financial Accountant will responsible for the active hedging of currency for
global purchases alongside month end and year end closing activities. Actively engage in
client web portal logins such as Ariba that are commonly used by multinational firms in the
Telecom and electrical sector. The daily task involves regularly updating all required
accounting entries and coordinate respectively to solve any queries that may arise with large
volumes of transaction that take place on day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
? Collecting and analysing data that is used in the preparation of weekly and monthly
estimates.
? Prepare accurate and timely month end financial reports, including profit and loss and
balance sheet for the management.
? Prepare weekly cash flow statements, improve revenue and control expenditure.
? Reconciling bank statements by comparing transactions to the general ledger and managing
transfers and payments.
? Prepare prepayments, accruals and payroll entries.
? Assist external tax accountant with lodging of quarterly BAS statements in a timely manner
and referring correct PAYG and GST payments to ATO.
? Forecasting of inventory and stock levels using Unleashed Inventory Management
software.
? Prepare budget estimates for income and expenses for future allocation.
? Continuously monitor the inventory management software on regular basis for any
irregularities and train staff of any updates or changes brought about the software.
? Assist in the process of linking the payment gateway to appropriate bank accounts and
continuous monitoring of payments received from the company's ecommerce store.

? Work with the external tax accountant in the preparation of year end accounts and statutory
accounts.
? Responding to financial inquiries and provide monthly customer reports.
? Conducting internal audits of payroll, expenses and inventory as requested by management.
? Examine financial records to check for accuracy.
? Maintenance of fixed asset register.
? Regularly engage with client and supplier web portals to complete various accounting task
and integration.
? Regulating and maintaining internal controls systems, ensure fraud prevention and minimise
errors that occur in the day to day running of the business.
? Processing payroll including recording staff time sheets, making contributions to their
superannuation accounts and maintaining employees' records.
? Processing credit application for new customers and performing credit history checks by
liaising with the referees provided by new customers.
? Compliance of accounting standards and regulations and adhering to company policies.
? Prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a busy working environment.
