The Role Responsibilities

The individual will support delivery of Credit Enablement initiatives, with specific focus on Credit Transformation, for CCIB and contribute to improve operational efficiency by identifying areas for improvements, working in close conjunction with the CCIB Client Coverage, Credit, T&I, and other Functional Partners.

Credit Transformation is a key strategic agenda for CCIB to uplift the core credit platform, drive end-to-end digitization and deliver a fully digitized, data driven Credit Origination model, leveraging internal & external data, and machine learning capabilities.
  • Work closely with product owners & managers to develop new insights from internal data that support credit analysis and decisioning
  • Work closely with the UI/UX team to visualize insights in the most intuitive manner
  • Support A/B test experiments with end-users and own test readout and analyses
  • Support establishing new data pipelines from external sources by engaging vendors and develop insights
  • Work with data scientists & engineers to test and deploy the new data insights
  • Support user-driven UI design for applications
  • Discuss and drive optimal data architecture with T&I teams to ensure creation of a flexible, scalable data layer to support visual analytics
  • Assist in implementation / rollout including UAT, user trainings, UVT and post go live support.
  • Proactively support Agile practices and foster a culture of continuous service improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement of the operational efficiency and effectiveness of business infrastructure, processes, and improve efficiency and scalability, and hence improve profitability.
  • Provide input to the development of end-to-end scalable infrastructure and processes to execute business processes.
  • Develop a good understanding of and proactively adopt the evolving New Ways of Working in the role.

Risk Management
  • Ensure that initiatives are delivered consistent with the requirements of the ORF and in a manner, that ideally improved our operational risk profile.

Governance
  • Ensure that outcomes delivered, including necessary controls are fit for purpose and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the Bank's project and change management governance disciplines are adhered with.

  • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders, including regulators and staff.


Our Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience in creating and delivering visual analytics products in banks or financial institutions, working off data from diverse sources (static data, transaction data, limit information, market data, other external sources)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability
  • Strong proficiency in querying, manipulating and analysing large data sets in Oracle/PostGres/Hive
  • Experience with synthesizing insights and data visualization
  • Hands-on experience designing dashboards in Tableau / PowerBI, libraries like Highcharts / Fusioncharts / Plotly / Dash
  • Advantageous (though not essential) to have knowledge of CCIB products & processes
  • Good strategic thinking in identifying solutions and selecting the best combination of practices
