The Auditor-General's Office (AGO) is an independent organ of state and the national auditor. Our mission is to audit and report to the President and Parliament on the proper accounting and use of public resources to enhance public accountability. AGO conducts various audits and our observations include system weaknesses, non-compliance with control procedures or legislation, and instances of excess, extravagance, or gross inefficiency leading to waste in the use of public funds and resources. We are looking for candidates who possess good leadership qualities, strong drive for achievements, excellent analytical abilities, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

You will be part of the AGO Procurement & Contracts Audit Department and will assist the Group Director and Audit Director in carrying out audits of procurement, including development/construction projects, by the government ministries, statutory boards and other public entities to ascertain whether procurement was carried out in accordance with the principles, relevant rules and guidelines. Your responsibilities will include performing risk assessment, developing detailed audit plans, executing the audits, and preparing management letters on audit findings. If you are assigned supervisory responsibilities, you will also be involved in guiding the team(s) in carrying out the audits, and monitoring work progress.

Requirements

a) Singapore Citizen

b) Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying or Project and Facilities Management

c) Relevant experience in procurement, and/or contracts management/ project management involving development/construction projects is preferred

d) Familiarity with government procurement policies, rules, guidelines, process, procedures and GeBIZ is preferred

e) Possess good analytical and interpersonal skills

f) Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
