Job Description
Will consider 4 days a week for the right candidate (prorata)
As a Senior Tax Accountant at Leidos, reporting to the Group Reporting & Control Manager, you will be responsible for providing high quality taxation advice to our business stakeholders and assisting in fulfilling our corporate income tax accounting and reporting along with reporting and compliance obligations for Australia and affiliated MEC group.
This position requires strong, current accounting and tax technical knowledge and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply local accounting and tax regulations. You will have a strength in building rapport with stakeholders to understand customer needs, provide value added support and advice and counsel on complex tax accounting issues.
You will have a natural passion for process improvement and as part of a collaborative and collegiate team with a global reach, you will be responsible for the following activities

You naturally approachable, and enjoy consulting and supporting the organisation on complex tax areas, and are comfortable in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. You won't be afraid to challenge processes, and you constantly strive for best practice. - legal entity tax accounting
- multi-faceted tax guidance
- multi-faceted tax and audit support
- Transfer Pricing, Hybrid Rules, and cross border transactions
Qualifications

Your strong attention to detail will be complimented by your ability to manage and prioritise you own workload.
You will also have:
- A degree in Finance or Accounting and are CA/CPA qualified
- Ideally a minimum 5 - 7 years tax experience in a large multinational organisation or in a large professional advisory firm
- Strong accounting, taxation and analytical skills including experience in internal controls and auditing functions
- The ability to oversee tax impacted processes and complete taxation requirements in accordance with local regulations.
- Advanced Microsoft Application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
