The Perks Audit Team, provide audit and assurance services from the smallest to most complex of entities in the profit and not-for-profit sectors, including companies, ACNC registered charities, incorporated associations, Aboriginal Corporations, government agencies and others. With a dedicated focus on client relationships and our understanding of their people, processes, and systems, we not only complete the financial aspects of an audit but provide meaningful feedback to stakeholders and management.

About the RoleAs a result of continued growth and succession planning, a new Adelaide based opportunity has been created for an Associate Director: Audit with the view to fast tracking to equity in Perks.

You will work closely with our existing Director and Associate Director, and with a strategic mindset and demonstrated leadership capabilities, lead the Audit Team in the delivery of audit and assurance services. You will work on exciting and challenging local client engagements across industries such as pubs and clubs, financial services and insurance AFSL's, manufacturing, wine producers, education, property investors, aged care and others.

ResponsibilitiesAs the Associate Director: Audit, you will be responsible for:
  • Management, leadership, and the development of the Audit Team
  • Conduct and oversee the delivery of external audit engagements for a variety of clients, ensuring the audit process is completed efficiently and effectively to produce high-quality outcomes
  • Working collaboratively across the firm, to deliver innovative solutions and identify opportunities to expand the scope of works and add value for our clients
  • Identify strategic business development and growth opportunities
Skills and ExperienceSome of the skills, experience, and attributes that you would bring to the role are:
  • CA or CPA qualifications
  • Experience managing, leading and developing an audit team within a professional services firm in a leadership position
  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of accounting and auditing standards, legislative and compliance requirements
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills, to work with a wide range of external stakeholders and effectively manage expectations
  • Strong project, time management and organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deliver team engagements in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Excellent business development skills and the ability to identify opportunities
