Page Personnel is working with a well known manufacturing business based in Liverpool to recruit a Management Accountant to join an established accountancy team.

Part of a large, global business with a multi billion pound turnover, this site in Liverpool has a large manufacturing facility and has invested a lot in improving efficiencies and developing technology to help with performance. They offer a broad range of services and work with some exciting and well recognised businesses.

Description

The role of Management Accountant will be part of a small finance team but support the wider business. Key responsibilities:

• Producing monthly management accounts and closing all month end processes
• Maintaining group reporting tools ensuring data quality is accurate
• Creating monthly management accounts packs for local directors
• Preparing monthly and yearly sales forecasts with variance analysis
• Reviewing job profitability against estimates, investigating deviations together with sales and production as required
• Responsible for budgeting process and variance analysis
• Developing processes and systems to improve systems
• Various ad hoc project work

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Part qualified / finalist level CIMA/ACCA
• Strong management accounting background
• Highly motivated and driven to improve processes and reporting
• Strong communication skills and able to build relationships across all levels
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Advanced Excel and IT skills
• Experience working with systems and able to demonstrate system improvement skills
