Base location: Solihull based office, currently working from home. On safe return to offices there will be flexible working

Salary: Up to £32,000 + benefits package including 25 days annual leave

The IT Risk & Assurance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the MyTechnology Risk and Control framework.

Working closely with teams across MyTechnology to ensure Risks, Issues together with Controls and Actions are being maintained, this role will provide risk analysis and reports to drive senior management decisions as well as identifying and delivering opportunities for improvement. Supporting and/or assisting with Assurance reviews undertakenA by first, second and third lines of defence, this role is a key member of the MyTechnology team supporting and assisting in the development and maintenance of the MyTechnology Business Management System (BMS).

What you'll need to do the role & Key Responsibilities of role

Firstly, you'll need2-3 years experience of working in a Data Analyst type role focussing specifically within the Risk field. Excellent data manipulation and insightful reporting skills are required in this role. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are necessary and will be tested in the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance the MyTechnology Risk and Control framework as defined by the Serco SMS
  • Supporting and maintaining MyTechnology Risks, Issues and Controls and associated remediation actions across MyTechnology, including:
  • Development and production of risk reports to support senior management risk review forums
  • Development and delivery of ad-hoc risk and control trend analysis and reporting.
  • Proactively alert management to issues and opportunities to improve or remediate MyTechnology risk and control
  • Support data-driven controls testing and maintain controls testing registers
  • Supporting at MyTechnology Risk review meetings.
  • Collating updates including any new and/or removal in response to current Risk, Issues, Controls and Actions from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Updating and reporting from the Risk Management tool for MyTechnology as and when required.
  • Support development and maintenance of risk and assurance Excel tools / solutions
  • Supporting and/or assist with MyTechnology Assurance reviews undertaken by first, second and third lines of defence including:
  • Arranging and assisting in meetings.
  • Ensuring artefacts requested are captured, logged and tracked through to completion.
  • All Assurance reviews and/or Audits including management agreed actions and evidence to support closures is captured and maintained through to completion within the Assure tool.
  • Provide data analysis and reports via data extracts from the Assure tool.
  • To support and assist in the development and maintenance of the ITS Business Management System (BMS).
  • Work with MyTechnology teams and assist in the development of the BMS across MyTechnology.
  • Ensure that our BMS repository is maintained and regularly updated.
  • Assist the IT Risk & Assurance team in effectively communicating out to the wider business.
  • AD-hoc duties as and when defined by the Head of IT Risk & Assurance
