Interim Financial Analyst required, on a fixed term contract basis, to support the Commercial Finance Manager at our FTSE listed client.
An excellent opportunity for an interim Finance Analyst to join a market leader in its field, based in Hertfordshire, with remote working.
The role is expected to assist in improving processes and controls within the Stock finance team and provide commercial insights to drive the business to improve performance. This role reports into the Commercial Finance Manager for this market leading client.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will build strong relationships with the commercial and operational teams, to embed better stock behaviours & drive a greater understanding of stock movements Create new and develop existing weekly & periodic reporting, joining large data sets from multiple sources/systems in differing formats, allowing for better stock decision making Deep-dive operational process issues to improve financial control and reduce the amount of manual adjustments needed from the accounting team Assist in the stock month end process and ensure accurate monthly stock reconciliations Improve, reduce and eliminate where feasible manual accounting processes through automation whilst ensuring we maintain appropriate levels of control
Skills & experience required:
Recently Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-3 years PQE Strong communication and influencing skills Strong academics Strong Excel skills, Macro writing preferable. Experience manipulating large volumes of data from a variety of sources (i.e. not just in Excel) Highly numerate and analytical with a keen eye for detail that is deadline focused and goal oriented Enthusiastic to learn and challenge the status-quo Drive to improve processes whilst maintaining high levels of controllership Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships with key stakeholders, both internal & external to the business Prepared to go the extra mile and ensure that the job is well done and not just completed. Methodical, organised and responds quickly to change, whilst demonstrating a proactive approach
