EMEA Statuatory Tax Accountant - Immediate Start

A Major manufacturing multinational is expanding their Irish operation. They are seeking an EMEA Tax Accountant to join their Finance team, based in their Shared Services Centre in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accountant with at least 1 - 2 years experience in industry, who wants to start immediately with a leading global organisation. The Role - Background and extensive knowledge in statutory accounts preparation for EMEA jurisdictions Assisting tax in identifying tax risks Extensive knowledge of IFRS & certain Local GAAP's Ability to complete bridges between USGAAP numbers and local GAAP Assume main responsibility for dealing with local audit firms and ensuring statutory audits are conducted in efficient, effective and timely manner Interfaces with tax, legal, treasury departments in order to fulfil the requirement of the role Interface with General Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable departments in EUSSC Work with Corporate departments in US on tax / statutory projects Understand & prepare tax computations for Corporate Investments legal entities in line with ASC740 Qualifications You - Essential Qualified Accountant (at least 3 years Post Qualification Experience) Local GAAP knowledge for certain European jurisdictions Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Excellent knowledge of GA processes and procedures Previous experience with an ERP system Strong Analytical skills Fully competent in Microsoft Excel Good attendance and timekeeping record Technically competent Fluency in English Understanding of deferred tax calculations You - Desirable Previous exposure to a culturally diverse working environment Ability to speak more than one major European language US GAAP exposure Tax qualification and/or experience in working with tax For more detail on this role, contact Luke on (0)1 6991 200
