The Role
The purpose of the role is to contribute to the broader finance team while ensuring that the Group Shared Services Financial Accounting function and the services delivered are fully operational, compliant and maintained to ensure the viability of the GPC Asia Pacific and other relevant partner businesses.

The Role
The purpose of the role is to contribute to the broader finance team while ensuring that the Group Shared Services Financial Accounting function and the services delivered are fully operational, compliant and maintained to ensure the viability of the GPC Asia Pacific and other relevant partner businesses.
What you will be doing:
- Prepare daily sales results in the approved format.
- Responsible for reconciliation and clearing of balance sheets on a monthly basis.
- Ensure that all month end reconciliations, journal entries and regular monthly reports are completed on time and are accurate.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting process as required
- Investigate and resolve inaccuracies and anomalies that arise.
- Provide support to all commercial and finance teams across GPC Asia Pacific and other relevant businesses under our brand.
- Work across other finance and commercial teams in a multi skilling capacity to ensure effectiveness of people resources.
- Participate in projects as required
- Responsible for managing the Profectus (Customer rebates automation) system.
About you:
- Business or Accounting degree and CPA essential
- Previous Assistant Accountant experience preferably with a large retailer
- Profectus (customer rebates automation) system experience
- Intermediate user of MS office including Word (documents), Excel (pivot tables, and v-look up), PowerPoint (create presentation) is essential.
- Able to demonstrate competency with Business Intelligence tools such as data warehouse.
- Able to demonstrate prior success in a role where initiative is demonstrated.
- Competent from analytical and numeric perspective and able to interpret sales data and its relevance to business KPIs
- Someone with effective communication skills and a "can do" attitude
