CONSUMER AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CIMD)
The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.

The firm's Consumer business, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup with more than 150 years of experience. Today, we serve millions of customers across multiple products including lending, deposits, financial tools, and our partnership with Apple on Apple Card. We use innovative design, data, engineering and other core capabilities to provide customers with powerful tools and products that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity. As we build a leading digital consumer bank and expand into new products and partnerships, we are looking for leaders and individual contributors to join our team.

YOUR IMPACT
The Consumer Finance team plays a crucial role in performing forecasting and analysis to support major business goals and decisions. This role will have primary responsibility for establishing and owning the process to support the Consumer businesses in making data driven decisions with regards to their vendor spend.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain a process to attest accuracy of volume-driven vendor spend to prevent overpayment to vendors
- Identify cost efficiency opportunities through analytics and peer comparisons to drive target operating efficiency
- Develop and maintain a framework for cost allocation across Consumer businesses
- Support unit cost framework to reflect the marginal cost of each function/service performed by vendors
- Provide support to the VROs and Consumer Strategic Engagements team as they engage in negotiations with key vendors
- Ensure holistic one GS view of the vendor is consolidated and available for review
- Engage with broader virtual team on a number of key strategic deliverables including the strategic spend management tools and document repositories
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual with solid experience building revenue partnerships and vendor relationships.
- 2+ years of working experience in financial markets, exposure to Consumer Banking
- Strategic thinker with advanced analytical skills
- Strong commercial acumen and business judgment
- Ability to manage concurrent and time sensitive projects, and to drive short- and long-term initiatives
- Exceptional communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelors/Undergraduate Degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical knowledge including SQL
- Proficient in technical tools including Splunk and Postman
