We will count on you to:

Mercer is seeking a Senior Business Applications Analyst to join its Applications team which forms part of the broader Global Investment Implementation Services group. The team supports the Pacific Investments business with a technology platform featuring Milestone Group's pControl and pQuant applications. These applications are used for daily cashflow allocation, asset re-balancing and performance measurement for the Mercer funds in Australia & New Zealand.

This is a new and varied role that will utilise your strong investments administration, organisation and communication skills. The role is ideal for candidates with a strong aptitude for understanding investment operations processes, data flows and business applications.

The role will initially focus on mastering the processes involved in running the technology platforms for the business, as well as supporting the implementation of major projects. It is envisaged that over time the role will offer scope for development opportunities in business analysis, change management and project management. The role offers wide exposure to colleagues within the Investment Solutions business as well.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the ongoing maintenance and oversight of applications, including the performance of daily & monthly processes and co-ordinating static and dynamic data requirements

• Investigate & resolve/escalate issues relating to processes, data and/or reporting

• Assist users with queries in relation to daily data and processing queries

• Liaise with colleagues on user/application issues and process improvements that may require fixes or enhancements

• Assist with project implementations and UAT activities

• Participate in Knowledge Management / Governance activities & projects

What you need to have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance or a related discipline

• A minimum of 3 years of experience within the Finance industry, ideally in a funds management environment with exposure to multi-manager structures

• Microsoft Excel (intermediate level)

• Strong numeracy skills

• Highly organised and ability to prioritise

• Takes pride in attention to detail

• Capacity to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Team player and knowledge-sharer
