A leading mid-sized chartered accounting firm is currently hiring a Fund Accounting Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Manager will be responsible for hands on financial reporting, tax, month-end as well as leading a small finance team.

The ideal candidate will have come from a chartered background and will have 5+ years relevant financial reporting or fund accounting experience within a financial services firm.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual General Ledger reconciliations and investigation of reporting variances
  • Preparation of distribution calculations for funds operating across a variety of asset classes and investment strategies
  • Assistance with tax compliance including preparation of BASs and tax returns
  • Preparation of interim and year-end statutory accounts
  • Liaising directly with the client's finance and trust accounting team
  • Direct management and responsibility for team of up to 16 staff members, utilised as required during engagement peak periods
  • Reconcile various accounts, or reviewing reconciliations prepared by others, and promptly investigating and correcting any variances
  • Oversight, review and delivery of set workflow (statutory accounts, tax components /statements, income tax returns and quarterly activity statements)

Requirements
  • 5+ years relevant financial reporting or fund accounting experience
  • Relevant degree and CA/CPA Qualified
  • Client reporting knowledge including regulatory, statutory reporting and tax reporting
  • Experience in a similar within funds management ideal
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
