Our customers use a suite of products to provide tax identity information which enables them to earn from multiple Amazon businesses globally. Using our services, millions of payees are paid billions of dollars from Amazon businesses and its subsidiaries.
We are looking for a highly analytical and result-oriented Business Analyst II who can analyze business decisions, troubleshoot issues, and communicate the findings effectively across different teams while raising the technical bar of the global team. To be successful in this role you will need to be an analytical problem solver, influencer, and innovator. You will need to think and act fast, deal with ambiguity and be able to develop business cases into ideas for products that work on a global scale. You need to be comfortable working with multiple teams at all levels, including teams in different countries. You must have a deep understanding of data fundamentals including working with very large datasets. Our ideal analyst is one who enjoys discovering and solving complicated problems, can quickly learn complex systems, likes to work with numbers, and takes pride in organizing and communicating the work output.
As a Business Analyst II you will be responsible for:
• Developing and using metrics to constantly improve the business
• Actively managing the timeline and deliverables of projects
• Identifying and implementing optimal communication mechanisms based on the data set and the stakeholders involved
• Solving ambiguous analyses with less well-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the heart of the problem and identify root causes
• Translating complex or ambiguous business problem statements into analysis requirements
• Proactively and independently working with stakeholders to construct use cases and associated standardized outputs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
• Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field of study.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Science, Operations research or a related field.
• Data-driven mindset which leverages financial data, usage metrics, ROI, etc. to drive decision-making and develop business cases.
• Experience in business process improvement, Lean/Six Sigma.
• Experience working with large data sets, databases, and cloud-based storage.
• Proven track record of delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities.
• Demonstrated writing skills at a level suitable for presentation to senior executives.
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.
• Effectively navigates a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment.
• Demonstrated record of partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams. Experience working with engineering teams to define, scope and prioritize product requirements.
• Desire to constantly go bigger, faster, and more efficiently.
