My client an amazingly successful National IFA Practice are looking to recruit a Paraplanner in their Manchester office. The successful candidate will be heading towards the Diploma in Financial Planning on the Paraplanning side and will develop skills on the Business's service proposition through the annual review valuation report process together with drafting simple and standard advice reports in delivery to clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop further into Paraplanning. The key skills are as follows and the candidate must be on the road to being a Qualified Paraplanner:-

• To take a lead role in the production of the annual review valuation reports required each month through the drafting of reports.

• Reviewing and summarising the activity on client accounts during the review period.

• Obtaining additional information from providers regarding transactions, fund research, withdrawals and annual allowances.

• Checking and where identified correcting valuations.

• Providing full costs and charges analysis together with, where applicable, drawdown analysis and critical yields.

• To ensure the compliance documents for clients are up to date and in line with the company guidelines.

• Running the client risk profile questionnaires through

• The ability to draft simple advice letters and calculations under supervision.

• To review reports as and when time permits to aid understanding and development within the role.

• Provide clear and concise communication to the Consultant and Client Support as appropriate in terms of the report delivery and any issues identified.

• Contact and liaise with relevant product providers/third parties to obtain accurate technical policy information as required or requested from the paraplanner.

• Life cover quotes. To support and produce quotations as and when required.

• On completion of the training for the various research tools used within the team, it would be expected that the role would assist, and in some cases take on the production of this research.

• Attend when requested client meetings alongside the paraplanner and/or the consultant.

• To be aware and act upon any compliance, risk and quality issues.

• Maintain the Intelligent Office database ensuring that all tasks are completed in line with the company policy and procedures with up to date accurate information together with the correct labelling of the client documents.

• To keep up to date with current regulation and expanding knowledge through your own learning.

Skills and Qualifications

• Working towards Diploma qualification in agreed timeframe with the Paraplanning Manager.

• Proficient IT skills in core Microsoft Office systems.

• Organisation and prioritisation skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail.

• Ability to coach and mentor team members.

To be considered you must be on the route to becoming a paraplanner and in terms of salary this will be up to a maximum of 28k dependent on skills sets. The benefits and opportunity are excellent.
