A leading international Investment and Insurance firm is currently looking to hire a Risk Analyst within their ESG and Climate Risk pace, working alongside senior business individuals driving the group agenda and strategy on Climate Risk, Responsible Investment, Sustainable finance and ESG from a risk perspective.

You will come onboard as a critical member of the 2LoD Risk team - newly established under the guidance of the CRO, where you focus on the analysis, research and ultimate embedding of risk controls and practice in the framework with regards to key topics currently in Climate Risk and ESG. Further you will play a key role in the first PRA regulatory deliverable come year with regards to these principles.

Key duties in the ESG/Climate Risk Analyst role will include:
  • Lead the identification and assessment of emerging risks in conjunction with ERM, advising management on risk mitigation strategies where required.
  • Maintain the emerging risk identification and assessment process, ensuring the Risk.
  • Work closely with business functions, both within LSM and LM Group, to monitor climate change and emerging risks, and advise on risk mitigation strategies where required.
  • Support the development of novel qualitative scenarios for internal model validation, stress and scenario testing and reverse stress testing.
  • Conduct extensive research and analysis on trending market topics, with regards to ESG and Climate Risk, which includes attending various relevant forums and conferences.
  • Facing off across the business , as well as externally with key business and market stakeholders.

A successful application in the the ESG/Climate Risk Analyst role will include:
  • Demonstrable knowledge/interest and passion for the ESG, CSI and Climate Risk principles and how they integrate into a business from a risk perspective.
  • Exposure to climate change, insurance/investment-specific emerging risks and ESG topics and trends; to include their regulatory, financial and reputational implications, notably regulatory changes linked to sustainable finance, SII/IDD/SS3-19.
  • Experience and knowledge of climate change metrics and reporting requirements to support the groups engagement with external initiatives, ClimateWise/TCFD/PRI/PSI, etc.
  • Excellent Communication skills - both written and verbal to be able to face off with senior business leaders and drive this agenda forward.
  • Proactive self-starter who is forward looking ,with an analytical mindset.
