Our finance team works in partnership with our commercial functions to make sound financial decisions for our business. Hallmark has both a B2B and B2C model, and finance plays a critical role in ensuring all our decisions have purpose and drive profitable, risk assessed decisions, enabling us to take advantage of every available opportunity.
As a member of the finance team, you'll report to and be mentored by a Finance Business Partner (FBP) to ensure the integrity of our financial data. You will have exposure to the wider finance team and business leaders, giving you ample opportunity to demonstrate and develop your skills and finance career.
Initially you'll start by putting your current skillset to good use with key accountabilities including:
• Supporting the FBP to creating customer P&L's from Net Revenue to EBIT, budget setting, tracking and improving across all cost lines
• Assist with the financial budgeting & forecasting, reporting and analysis for commercial areas supported
• Provide challenge to the finance team and other colleagues to ensure best practice is adhered to
• Apply financial skills and concepts to better support judgment and decision making
With an active development plan, you'll work towards being fully responsible for:
• Communicating complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a way that is easily understood and acted upon
• Provide business/ financial reporting and analysis; to support decision making
• Work with the Shared service team to ensure accurate and timely accounting & corporate reporting.
• Create commercial opportunity modelling and decision support including tenders, promotions, ROI etc.
• Deliver and enhance customer profitability analysis
• Develop existing financial models to support faster and more accurate decision making

To be successful in your application you'll need to demonstrate:
• A keen interest in Finance and Retail, with an understanding of both industries and why you want to work in those sectors
• Enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment, exceeding expectation through self-motivation, organization and planning
• You are ambitious and confident, studying/working towards a career in finance
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and collaboration skills.
• A clear and accurate solution based thought process which you can share with others to support decision making
• Great attention to detail and accuracy to create high quality reporting of data and analytics
• Previous experience of working with data and report writing, in a commercial business environment, would be a significant advantage
