ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to workclosely with our International Accounting Manager. In this newly created role you will handle International Accounting processes for Babylon's International subsidiaries and acquisitions, being at the forefront of supporting new country initiatives, monitoring global accounting risks and driving process efficiencies. This role is at the heart of the business ensuring the integrity of financial and management information is maintained and senior management have accurate and timely information to make the right decisions.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

• Coordination of year-end financial statement audits, leading coordination with auditors and internal teams for international entities (i.e. Singapore), including preparation of financial statements
• Upload of month end acquisition entity results and analysis of monthly results, liaising with the acquisition finance teams as required
• Assistance in SOX control and risk monitoring across Financial Statement areas, supporting the International Accounting Manager in leading any control improvements with other teams
• Liaison with Rwanda's Accounting Officer to ensure local finance team are supported to meet month end commitments and general office finance matters
• Key owner of process efficiency, working with the International Accounting Manager on automation projects. Continuous review of financial processes and assessing for fit as the business scales

ABOUT YOU

• ACCA Qualified (or equivalent) - part qualified applicants will be considered depending on industry experience
• Big 4 experience preferred but not essential
• Experience in financial systems advantageous but not essential, as well as experience in tech startup/high growth environments
• Enthusiasm for improving processes and continuously reviewing process adequacy as the business scales
• Extreme attention to detail
• Completer/finisher and self-starter
• Strong effective communicator with excellent presentation skills
• Ability to turn high ambiguity into actionable insight
• Experience using NetSuite preferred (though not essential)
• Comfortable working in a high growth and fast paced environment
