This would be a great opportunity for someone who is looking for an analytical finance position that involves a lot of business partnering. Our client is ideally looking for someone from a manufacturing background, but this is not essential.
Client Details
Our client is a highly successful global manufacturing business. The Finance Business Partner will be based at the site in North Nottingham, which has a turnover of c. £20 million. The site has a very supportive and friendly working environment, and great facilities, which includes an on site gym. Although it is a large business, it has a relaxed working environment.
Description
As Finance Business Partner you will be reporting into the Plant Accountant, and will be supporting him with the site's financial reporting and analysis, and will be business partnering the plant leadership team to deliver predictability and growth. Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Analysing the accounts, identifying variances and providing recommendations and commentary
- Costing materials
- Assist in developing the annual profit plan
- Business partnering non-finance stakeholders (including supply chain and quality), and supporting them with understanding financial information
- Managing capital spending and forecast tracking, along with capitalisation of assets and CIP budgets
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing
- Some month end duties
- Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other statutory requirements
Profile
To apply for this role, you must:
- Have a proven track record of working in finance
- Have experience of financial reporting and analysis
You will ideally have worked in manufacturing, but this is not essential.
Job Offer
This is initially a 14 month contract role to cover maternity. However, a permanent opportunity within the wider finance function may become available for the successful candidate in the future. Our client is offering:
