Your new role
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing and other transactions
- Manage outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking and other financial needs as necessary
- Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
- Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
- Research and analyse financial reports
- Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
- Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
- Present financial reports to the Managing director periodically Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company Understand and adhere to the financial regulations and legislation
- Submission of VAT reporting and annual tax reporting
- Preparation of annual budget and variance analysis Cash flow forecasting
What you'll need to succeed
- This role is suited to a qualified/ part qualified accountant or QBE candidate
- Ability to improve business processes and controls
- Self-motivated and able to work as part of a small finance team
- Support decision making with sound financial understanding
- Ability to handle a busy workload and able to meet deadlines
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Microsoft Navision would be beneficial
