Group Finance Manager role, responsible for accounts of 4 trading business and entities, as well as managerial responsibilities.

Description

  • Preparation of monthly and weekly MI and management accounts in accordance with deadlines. Setting, managing, and monitoring compliance and streamlining processes (including making best use of systems and reducing manual processes)
  • Development of monthly consolidated management accounts suite including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Development and progression of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting and treasury processes
  • Ensure up to date with UK GAAP to lead the annual statutory accounts process, developing monthly working paper files and reconciliations to ensure readiness for implementation of external audit process from 2021-22 onwards
  • Decision support, analysis and modelling as required
  • Support and participate in the monthly SMT Finance Review meeting processes
  • Manage the annual budget process
  • Support financial integration of acquisitions and strategic projects
  • Preparation of year end statutory accounts and simple corporation tax computations
  • Liaison and co-ordination with Tax Advisers on more complex matters
  • Manage monthly, quarterly VAT/PAYE/CIS and other similar tax return routines
  • Day-to-day management of development of multi-site personnel, with matrix elements, encompassing trainee professional level and also transactional processing staff - 9+ separate statutory entities using Sage 50

  • Financial modelling experience or willingness to learn
  • Ability to be hands on - role is a blend of doing/planning/managing/reviewing
