This role will be assessing proposals for Central Asia and east Africa. Candidates will go through budgets and question and challenge to make sure its a good financial proposal that's being submitted

Client Details

A large International Development Organisation in Central London


Support the design and implementation of effective quality controls to ensure compliance with donor requirements

and to maintain appropriate donor stewardship, including through manuals, checklists, templates, and other tools

Monitor spending and activity implementation and ensure regular scheduling of grants management meetings,

alerting the Programme Finance Manager and Programmes/Partnerships team about significant under or

overspend on a timely basis

Maintain internal tools that track active grants, cost recoveries and cash balances and ensure they are kept up-to-


Maintain internal tools tracking pipeline and secured funding (Awards Information Management System -AIMS)

and ensure they are kept up-to-date

Prepare financial information for internal reporting purposes, including (but not limited to) the quarterly CEO

report, monthly dashboard and quarterly cash balances report.


Candidates who have been in finance quite some time and haven't qualified yet but have lots of charity and donor experience - someone who has experience of international development - someone who has been to different countries for field audit Candidates from Practice and want to get into international development - candidates would need to demonstrate the full understanding of the role and demonstrate why and how they are good for the job and why they want it - have they done over seas volunteering etc
