OVERVIEW:
An interesting and stimulating opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant has arisen in the legal sector in Grimsby. The role requires broad based and varied accounting experience combined with the ability to relay financial information to non finance colleagues. Candidates who are at finalist level are also welcome to apply.
THE ROLE:
-Preparation of the management accounts with associated variance analysis and assisting with the annual budget analysing and forecasting spend. -Review reporting and research, prepare and present financial information, provide the required information for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and tax computations. -Manage the annual audit process and work alongside the auditors for consolidation of all the accounts at year end. -Maintain the fixed asset register and a wide variety of ad hoc duties as and when required.
THE CANDIDATE:
-Ideally you are ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant although candidates at finalist level will also be considered with the relevant skills and experience. -Systems literate, particularly with Excel, you are adept at working to deadline, enjoy working with a small dedicated team, have an organised approach and excellent attention to detail. -It goes without saying that first class communication skills are required both written and verbally, combined with the ability to present financial information with clarity and understanding to non finance colleagues. -Previous experience of the legal sector and SRA would be beneficial but not essential.
