Job Description

This Business Analyst Manager role on the strategic validation engine application (VET). The application continues to grow both in volumes and Lines of Businesses supported and as such an exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the future direction of the program. You will lead the requirements gathering and migrations of instruments due to move to the application after the current builds are complete, in addition to managing a team of locally based Business Analysts. The individual would be expected to drive the requirements gathering without prior business knowledge. You would have extensive interaction with the Product Devlopment, Network and Operational areas and be a key influencer in developing the application.
Internal Description
This position is to work as a Business Analyst Manager on the strategic validation engine application (VET), part of the CIB Trade Utility. The build-out of VET is a multi-year program that is well underway but extending to support more Lines of Business. Ultimately it will deliver a common global processing platform for many areas of CIB across multiple instrument classes.

You will lead the requirements gathering and migrations of instruments due to move to the application after the current builds are complete, in addition to managing a team of locally based Business Analysts. The individual would be expected to analyse business processes without prior business knowledge. You would have extensive interaction with the Product Devlopment, Network and Operational areas.

Key responsibilities would include:
  • Ensuring our Utility strategy is maintained across different instruments and Lines of Business
  • Gaining agreement on the implementation approach that balances the principles of the VET application, the future state technology architecture and the future state operating model
  • Requirements gathering and clear articulation to wider team of developers, testers and Operations Users
  • End-to-end responsibility for delivering your User Stories into production
  • Actively develop team members
  • Goal-setting and active tracking of staff objectives

Desired Skillset
  • 5 years+ experience of staff management experience
  • 5 years+ experience as a Business Analyst in a variety of different business areas
  • 3 years+ track record of strategic program delivery
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to drive others
  • Conversant in both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Comfortable with technical concepts and flows
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, and presentation skills; effective at all levels
  • Ability to work alone and as an effective part of team
  • Knowledge of the Fund Order business is desirable but not essential
