Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to work closely with senior project and program managers as well as teams of developers and senior business analysts gathering project updates, coordinating production rollouts, creating and maintaining notification distribution, organizing and maintaining project deliverables and manage a global team.

The individual will have the opportunity to play a critical role in a variety of complex and highly visible Booking Model projects. You will participate in discussions to analyze requirements, propose, and implement solutions. You will develop interpersonal and leadership skills by managing teams of software developers, quality control engineers, and by interacting with business clients from different functional areas of Citi at all levels.

Job Background/context:

Booking Model and Management Team (BMMT) is the expression of how Citi's business strategy is executed across its global legal entity footprint, guided by Booking Model Principles that govern the arrangement of its business activities.

Citi's Booking Model is affected by many factors, notably the products offered to meet client demand; the global set of markets and jurisdictions in which those products are offered; the regulations and laws that apply in those jurisdictions; and Citi's own incentives to manage the resulting risks in an efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understanding Business Requirements and Functional Requirements provided by Business Analysts and to convert into Technical Design Documents and leading the development team to deliver on those requirements.
  • Working with the Technical Team in Pune & US supporting BMMT application.
  • Ensure projects Plans are created and PTS documentation is up to date.
  • Work closely with Cross Functional Teams e.g. Business Analysis, Product Assurance, Platforms and Infrastructure, Business Office, Controls and Production Support. Prepare handover documents, manage SIT with oversight of UAT.
  • Identify and proactively resolve issues that could impact system performance, reliability, and usability.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of how the development function integrates within overall business/technology to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry.
  • Work proactively & independently to address development requirements and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address risks.
  • Participate in discussions to analyze requirements, propose and implement solutions, and have exposure to acquire extensive knowledge in the area of finance, tax, legal, compliance and SEC/FRB reporting
  • Ability to understand complex data problems, analyze and provide generic solutions compatible with existing Infrastructure.
  • Owns success - Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions. Mentoring other developers on their implementation as needed, and organize review activities like design review, code review and technical document review etc. to ensure successful delivery.
  • Explore existing application systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation.
  • Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to software architecture, software development process and new technologies etc.
  • Ability to build relationship with business and technology stakeholders.
Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience:
  • 6+ Year Software development experience.
  • Oracle SQL Developer knowledge is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Work, and Visio.
  • Java J2EE knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Legal entity management is a plus.
  • Worked in Onsite - offshore model.
