About the role:
  • You will be working closely with the business for financial reporting issues, collaborating with key stakeholders across the group of which most of them based in HK headquarter
  • You will be responsible to heads up the full spectrum of financial accounting from end-to-end for specific business stream as necessary
  • As long as the business grow, you may be required to take more ownership for business building projects
  • You will be part of the growing team, as well as an independent contributor in the evolving business model compared to traditional financial institutions
  • You are expected to develop your career with wider and more comprehensive exposure to Finance/Accounting and to become a Subject Matter Expert in the area
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the team for the preparation of financial statements and reporting package for group consolidation in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP
  • Responsible for month-end closing and monthly accounting schedules for key balance sheet items
  • Responsible for prepayments, accruals, reconciliations and consolidation
  • Prepare audited financial statements and liaise with external auditors for audit coordination
  • Partner with the business to drive process optimization and on-going enhancement
  • Involve in the establishment of internal controls, ensure financial accounting & reporting are adhered to the measures, and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Closely monitor monthly cash flow movements and advise the business for intercompany funding or cash replenishment if necessary
  • Assist in any ad-hoc assignments as needed
To be eligible for this role you will require:
  • At least 8 years' post qualification experience from financial institutions particularly investment banks
  • Solid experience in financial reporting and group consolidation with audit experience from Big 4
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Qualified CPA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Willing to take on new challenges and be adaptive to a fast-growing and dynamic start-up environment
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure and tight schedules
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in MS Office particularly MS Excel
  • Knowledge or a strong interest in fintech, blockchain, crypto, etc.
