Senior Financial Analyst

We are currently looking for Finance Senior Financial Analyst who will join our local finance team based in Wrocław. You will have a great opportunity to cooperate with group finance and local management team.

The opportunity

GDS Finance handles the corporate Finance and Accounting activities of EY GDS Poland. The scope and nature of the function can be classified into:

  • Planning, Budgeting and Financial Analysis (PBFA) covering the periodic reporting of management accounts, MIS, Annual Financial budget / Forecast, rate cards, and decision support
  • Accounting & controlling primarily consisting of Accounts Payable (vendor payments and employee reimbursements), Billing and Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets maintenance, Travel and Expense, Inter-company/inter-unit accounting and reconciliation, Statutory reporting, Statutory and Internal audits/controls, other required by law reporting
  • Tax-related compliances that cover Corporate Income Tax, VAT, etc.


Your key responsibilities

  • Collecting, consolidate and analyze financial data (Actual, Plan and Forecast) to support the decision making discussions on Executive meeting
  • Prepare reporting and analysis to identify key areas of focus based on actual performance which can be developed into insightful commentary for key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the coordination and processing of key financial processes including Plan, Forecast, Month End, Year End
  • Ad hoc requests from key stakeholders to support decision making discussions
  • Be proactive in raising the profile of the Finance team within the business and in contributing to your own professional development
  • Creating and developing of calculation files

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Graduate and/or professional certification in a business related subject matter (i.e. Accounting, Finance)
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in a related accounting or analysis function
  • Good presentation, problem-solving, analytical, and listening skills
  • Proactive and self-sufficient working style with ability to prioritize whilst escalating as appropriate to prevent dilution of existing controls
  • Good spoken and written English


Ideally, you'll also have

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools, predominantly Excel, PowerPoint
  • Computer proficiency; be proficient or trainable in complex aspects of financial and reporting software packages - including SAP, Power BI and SQL
