An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and ambitious Financial Accountant / Analyst to join the Finance Department at Altus Group's Sydney offices.

This is a unique opportunity within a large professional consultancy firm that services the Property and Commercial RE sectors, where there is plenty of room to develop your career and build on your technical knowledge.

This position would ideally suit an Assistant Accountant looking to develop their career further, and has sound experience in month end accounting procedures, enjoys analysing, developing financial models, and providing solutions, for business partners. As part of a 50/50 split of Financial accounting and Financial Analysis; your job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Financial Accounting

• balance sheet reconciliations,
• maintaining Fixed Asset registers,
• journal entries and
• month end reporting
• liase with auditors

Financial Analysis

• preparing forecasting models,
• assisting with budgeting processes, and
• delivering analysis that supports the performance of the business.

We are seeking an individual who has completed a bachelor degree in accounting and is well on the way to qualifying as a CPA or CA. However most importantly is the experience you have gained in your career, and your attitude to support and to further develop and learn in our large close-knit team.

As we an international company; clear written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with mindset in handling large amounts of data and being able to offer solutions. Knowledge of the BI System Tableau is preferred, however not essential.
