PE backed business based in York are looking to recruit a Management Accountant with ambition and drive to join their growing business.
The Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:
Person Specification:
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business within a massively growing sector. Salary of £35-40,000 plus benefits.
The Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Monthly management accounts with commentary for several companies in the portfolio, ensuring they are presented in a suitable format for analysis.
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including calculations for prepayments, accruals, deferred and accrued income.
- Liaison between the Procurement and Finance teams, working closely with the company's PO system to reconcile data.
- VAT returns
- Quarterly accounts pack distribution
- Maintenance of asset registers
- Ensuring adherence to company processes and implementing continuous improvements and efficiencies to the controls and processes of the company.
- Monitoring and supporting two members of the team.
- Year end preparation and liaison with external auditors.
Person Specification:
- Would suit a newly, or nearly qualified accountant (qualified by experience will be considered)
- Individual must have experience of working within a finance department in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and Sage50 is required
- Accuracy, honesty, timeliness, and an attention to detail
- Ability to digest and present data in a simple way
