Morgan McKinley team are recruiting for a Credit Control Manager with our client based in Crawley. The main purpose of this role will be to design and implement, and manage on an ongoing basis, the processes and procedures to manage the firm's credit risk.
Salary - Up to £40,000 DOE
Length of assignment - Permanent
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise other members of the credit control team
- Work with colleagues to identify, assess, and monitor significant credit risks
- Undertake and manage the day-to-day collection activities collection procedures (including timely and regular communication with clients through telephone, email and post)
- Promptly resolve client bill queries where appropriate working with colleagues.
- Ensure receipts are recorded accurate on a daily, investigating and resolving problems as necessary
- Manage the firm's card acceptance and direct debit processes
Key skills and experience needed:
- Significant experience of high-volume credit control with a varied client base ideally in a professional services environment
- Experience of staff management
- Detailed knowledge of debt collection processes
- Excellent numeracy and literacy
- Excellent verbal telephone manner and written email style
- Excellent IT skills, including good ability in using Microsoft Word & Excel
- Willingness and ability to travel to other offices when required
