An exciting senior leadership opportunity has arisen for a Head of Project Accounting.Reporting to the Head of Finance, Estates and working closely with the Programme Office Director and Project Managers you will contribute as a senior manager to ensure the provision of a strategic, professional, effective and solutions focused finance service aligned to the achievement of the University's Estates Strategy.
You will provide high quality support through insightful analysis and issue resolution and continuously improve processes and procedures to support efficient and effective operations.
The University is a large complex organisation that strives to improve and influence the world around us.Working within Finance team, you will be part of a team that is committed to ensuring the financial sustainability and success of the University both now and for the future.
In this senior role, you will lead the project accounting team, embedded withing the Estates project delivery team which is responsible for a transformational capital investment programme of circa £1billion over the next 10 years.
You will be a fully qualified member of CIMA/ACCA or another recognised accounting professional body. With a strong commercial awareness and extensive post-qualification project accounting experience you will possess a proven track record in leading and managing the financial planning, reporting and governance on large capital projects.
Experience of managing teams within a large, complex organisation coupled with the ability to effectively implement change is essential.
You will have the gravitas, influencing and people skills and provide advice to key stakeholders through experience of operating effectively at a senior manager level.
