The company are experiencing double digital growth and looking for a forward thinking Assistant Accountant to develop into a qualified accounting position over the next 1.5-3 years in line with IPO in 2022

Great dynamic and commercially focused pharmaceuticals company with full VC backing, they are the at he cutting edge of technology advancements in research and production and are planning IPO in 2022, so an ideal role for a part qualified assistant Accountant to get in on the ground level and grow a team around them whilst gaining invaluable IPO, VC and Pharmaceuticals industry experience

Description

Assistant Accountant Specific duties will include:

  • Assist with month end closure
  • Provide analytical input and help prepare month end-summary report to senior leadership
  • Preparing information for auditors
  • Posting to purchase ledgers & uploading invoices, matching to Purchase Orders etc
  • Verifying payments into the business account
  • Updating the Cashbook for all currencies (daily)
  • Preparing weekly payment runs
  • Reconcile bank statement, ensure payments received are posted correctly
  • Raise and allocate sales invoices
  • Reconcile AR/AP accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • 4+ Years Accounts experience having gone through transactional finance and assisted with Month/period end accounting
  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT
  • Quick learner happy to muck in across transactional finance whilst the company grows further through further funding and IPO
  • Sage Line 50 exposure is ideal
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office - especially Excel & Word
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.
