Global job purpose
Responsible for complete, timely and qualitative execution of Accounting Operations activities (according to the defined activity split) in the area of Management Accounting (cost accounting) and specifically Product Accounting & Inventory Valuation and Value Flow Management. Contributes to the reliability of the financial statements in his/her scope of responsibility in accordance with group standards and subgroup reporting requirement.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:
Value Flow Management:
• Monitors data quality, identifying correction requirements and performing adjustments for Master Data, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting and Controlling - Profitability module
• Supports assigned LEs closing process - review the closing results and follow up with divisions and functions
• Cooperates with business (Controlling, Sales & Marketing, Production)
Product Accounting & Inventory Valuation:
• Supports business (Controlling, Production etc.) for clarification of changes needed for variances of production/process orders and purchase prices
• Checks and verifies PAIV closing results and give business input
• Supports analysis of the Income Statement in the area of responsibility
Other:
• Performs service accounting & project invoicing
• Initiates and supports optimization projects and continuous improvement initiatives in order to improve quality and efficiency
• Supports local and global projects, such as legal entity and system mergers, acquisitions or divestitures

Qualifications
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting or equivalent degree
  • At least 5-6 years professional experience in General Accounting, Product Costing, Financial Analysis or similar fields
  • Fundamental understanding of global accounting and controlling processes and their point of intersection with other business processes
  • Proficient in SAP FI / CO modules, good overview of interfaces with other modules
  • Experience in leading and coordination working group/ project.
  • Dedication and accuracy, motivation and strong organizational skills, teamwork, eager to learn, ability to operate in a highly intercultural environment, issues handling, decision-making, personal drive on high level - looking for improvements, motivating others, stimulating to act.
  • Communication skills on high level - ability to lead teleconferences in an international context and to handle and communicate appropriately in critical situations/escalations.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of German or other languages preferred
