The right person will have a deep interest in delivering data and analytics products, solutions and outcomes. They will be focused on understanding the problem space through working directly with stakeholders, co-designing innovative solutions, and driving meaningful change.We are seeking people who relish complexity, autonomy, and trust. We assist by providing transformational strategy, architecture, business case development, solution implementation, and ongoing support. Our teams include some of the best strategists, architects, delivery managers, analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers and consultants in the region.This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis. We are looking for analysts with every level of experience, to support our fast-growing team. If you believe you are uniquely placed to help our clients, we are eager to hear from you.This role will be based in Canberra or Melbourne and will require the candidate to be an Australian citizen and/or capable of holding an Australian Government security clearance.Your key responsibilities
  • Co-design, develop, and document solutions to our clients' complex challenges in Agile and waterfall contexts. Participate in and/or lead user research and elicitation activities. Create user stories, requirement specifications, and visual models.
  • Contribute to the continuous analysis, design, and implementation of large-scale data and analytics solutions for clients.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic and tactical improvement within our clients' environments.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise-wide data-driven strategies for large government clients.
  • Build and maintain strong and trusting relationships with clients and, where necessary, act as the interface and translator between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Act as product owner, product manager, or lead analyst for the delivery of significant government and internal products.
  • Design data and integration flows, including rules for routing, transformation, integration, and archival.
  • Perform data analysis to understand the root cause of issues, the quality of data available, gaps, and flows.
Skills and attributes for success
  • Experience understanding and solving complex data-related challenges
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including familiarity with Australian Government language
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery principles and methods
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong problem-solving experience
  • Ability to balance and prioritise activities, with the flexibility to quickly adapt to changing business demands
  • Knowledge and experience of all elements of software development including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, defect management
  • Due to the nature of the client base you MUST BE an Australian Citizen
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Experience in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong consulting experience and background, including engaging directly with clients
  • Experience in a delivery role on Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data or analytics projects
  • Current Baseline clearance or above (non-mandatory: apply if you do not hold clearance)
