The primary purpose of the Business Analyst is to work with identified business areas within the department and the EPMO to analyse and document business requirements and processes to inform the delivery of a technology solution.


Essential Skills and experience

The Business Analyst offered is required to have the following specialist skills:

  • The ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence;
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;
  • Sensitivity to working in a political environment and to interacting with senior leadership;
  • Extensive experience in business and systems analysis, including business process analysis;
  • Demonstrated experience in information analysis, with strong interpretative and analytical skills including the ability to think clearly, concisely and interpret non-specific requirements of management and professional staff;
  • The ability to present information to various audiences such as education professionals, senior managers and operational personnel;
  • Experience in development and interpretation of user and functional specifications for system enhancements;
  • Highly developed organisational skills including proven ability to deliver successful outcomes while working on multiple tasks, competing priorities and critical deadlines;
  • Highly developed written, oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise, consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively and strategically with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • High standard of personal integrity and conduct including the ability to successfully work with teams of diverse backgrounds, skills and experience; and
  • Tertiary qualification in ICT or related discipline.
  • Knowledge and experience in aligning business processes / requirements with the functionality of D365 Customer Service Delivery (on MS Dynamics)
