Sohonet is looking to hire a Management Accountant in our Soho, London office to provide support to the finance team. The role would suit a newly qualified accountant, either ACCA, ACA or equivalent.

The candidate must be a dynamic all rounder with considerable experience in the production of management accounts. Solid finance system skills are a must.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities
  • Production of group management accounts - P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash flow, including all journal postings for all six group companies
  • Closing the ancillary ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and relating control account reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations including FX adjustments across six group companies, in four different currencies
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations for all group companies, including but not limited to:
  • Deferred income
  • Prepayments
  • Accruals
  • Lease accounting
  • Manage consolidation of Mexican subsidiary TB into SAGE
  • Assist with compliance re US & Canadian Sales Tax
  • Variance analysis, in particular:
  • Margin analysis and direct cost reconciliations to expectation per
  • Payroll cost analysis vs forecast
  • Production of board pack
  • Support with ad hoc improvement / systems projects as required

Skills & Experience
  • Newly qualified accountant, ACA / ACCA or equivalent
  • Experience in industry / business services
  • Strong Excel skills imperative
  • Competent user of financial systems
  • SAGE 200 experience a plus

  • Independent and not afraid to roll up sleeves and "get stuck in"
  • Industry experience working in media & entertainment, technology, or telecoms also a plus.

£42,500-£45,000 plus bonus
