We are partnering with a rapidly expanding bank that is looking for a Group Head of Credit Risk to join team in Wolverhampton.

The successful candidate must have 10+ years of Credit Risk experience within Retail Banking as well as previous experience managing a senior team of risk professionals.

Examples of responsibilities to expect:

  • In charge of the monitoring of the bank's credit risk appetite - providing checks on credit trends & credit risk strategy.
  • design, deliver and enable effective implementation of the Bank's credit risk policies across the end to end customer lifecycle
  • Ensure the bank's lending & credit risk policies are reviewed & up to date
  • Manage 2 credit risk professionals.
  • Ensure Underwriting and Collections credit related mandates are documented and applied effectively.
  • Design, deliver and ensure effective 2nd line Credit quality assurance across the bank.


Candidate Requirements:

  • 10+ years of credit risk experience (ideally previous experience in a Head of Credit Risk role) within retail banking!
  • You must have experience in leading and managing a senior team of risk professionals.
  • Experience & strong knowledge of mortgage lending is a plus!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence management and to lead and work collaboratively across teams
  • Engage in minimal travelling between offices.
