Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting an Interim Commercial Accountant for a market leading manufacturing business based in Doncaster. The role is for a period of 6 months to provide support throughout a particularly busy period and in conjunction with the permanent recruitment processes.
The role will suit either a qualified Accountant with a successful track record in a business partnering role, or a newly qualified Accountant with strong commercial acumen and communication skills who is looking to move into a more commercial focused role.
Responsibilities will include:
* To improve business processes and ensure financial targets are met
* Deliver accurate weekly & monthly financial information to the business
* Provide senior management with KPIs (financial and non-financial) and periodic reports on trading forecasts, budgets and targets, highlighting risks and opportunities
* Provide purchasing financial information required for the annual budget and periodic forecasts and strategic reporting
* Report on contracts, hedging and financial implications of purchasing strategies
* Responsible for Sales & Margin analysis on a weekly and monthly basis this will feed into the Monthly P&L
* Quote and invoice analysis / oversight - checks on margins / selling price / discounts / payment terms / sales commission schemes
* Feed Commercials into the Monthly Board Report including insights and analysis as and when needed for the Monthly Management Accounts
* Sales & Margin monthly close
* Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working with the operations finance team & other internal stakeholders
Skills & Experience Required:
* Part / fully qualified Accountant
* Strong communicator, written and oral - essential
* Strong skills in getting, transforming and presenting data
* Prior sale and margin analyst / product costing experience - desirable
* Excellent Excel skills, advanced formula, report building, data transformation
