TeachTown, Inc. is a leading education solutions provider that helps improve the academic, cognitive, and adaptive functioning of students with disabilities. With a recent investment from Bain Capital Double Impact Fund, the Company is experiencing significant growth, resulting in a need for a full–time Senior Accountant. This individual will be a key person on the finance team to ensure the accurate and timely closing of the monthly books and assist with the annual audits. We are looking for a hands–on individual who will drive innovations and efficiencies through continual evaluation of our systems and business processes. This individual will report directly to the CFO and have exposure to Senior Executives and Investors. This role will be based in Greater Boston area.


?? Own month–end close process, including reconciling bank accounts, entering journal entries, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations

?? Prepare monthly financial reporting and compliance packages for Board and Bank

?? Reconcile bookings and revenue recognition across multiple systems

?? Own collection of receivables and preparation of weekly cash forecasts

?? Organize payables process, including vendor and contract management

?? Assist with financial statement audit and other external requests

?? Manage future system implementations and process improvements projects

?? Analyze company–wide KPIs, preparing weekly leadership presentations

?? Support annual budgeting process

?? Perform ad hoc sales and business analysis as needed


?? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance

?? 3–5 years' experience in Public or Private Accounting

?? CPA / in process of getting CPA license / Big 4 public accounting firm is a plus

?? Highly self–motivated, detailed oriented, flexible team player that is able to operate independently

?? Solid verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

?? Working knowledge of ERP systems (Netsuite, Sage Intacct, etc.), demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft suite in general and Excel specifically
