Group Financial Accountant
Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a leading service business with operations spanning the UK. They are looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant for their head office in Doncaster. They have ambitious plans to keep driving the business forward and are looking at new technologies to aid diversification and make their operations more cost effective. The purpose of this role is to work as part of a Group Financial Reporting team, managing the financial accounting for the Group, ensuring preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial information and assisting with the forecasting and reforecasting process. Duties and responsibilities will include: Provide lenders with details of actuals, revised forecasts and business plans Prepare commentary for any variances Support the Financial Controller in reporting requirements Preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts under IFRS and new UK GAAP Co-ordination and liaison with the Group's auditors Preparation of UK group corporation tax computations Supporting regional accountants in preparation of quarterly non-statutory accounts Preparation of Board Reports covering provisions and monthly balance sheet and cash flow statements Undertaking variance analysis on balance sheet and cash flow statements Undertake other ad-hoc financial accounting and tax work as required The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: - ACA/ACCA qualified - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Experience of consolidating accounts - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Able to organise and prioritise workloads - Organised, analytical and logical; process driven - Able to work alone or as part of a team - Proactive and action orientated - High level of initiative This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to join a leading and well-renowned organisation.
